For Brooklynn

Stamps: Lizzie Anne High Hellos
Cardstock: Bazzill Bling & SU Eggplant Envy (I think!)
Ink: SU Eggplant Envy & Basic Black. SU Markers - Yoyo Yellow & Only Orange
Tools & Embellishments: Scalloped corner adorner, deckled scissors & corner flower punch. For the sparkles I used a quickie glue pen & SU Dazzling diamonds (these are still my favourite sparkles!

This card was made for Brooklynn, she's 8 - well she's really 2 as she was born on Feb 29th! She was Baptised yesterday and we were honored to be invited to share in her special day, she LOVES yellow so it HAD to have yellow!
Well we had 4 inches of snow last night!!! My poor daffodils are buried :( My girls have been having a lot of fun with the snow - VERY exciting! They made a Kitty, a Dog, a Rabbit, a person and a bird! All out of snow - how very clever! We took a photo but you can't really make them out which is a shame because they worked so hard on them :)

In the Treetop

Stamps: Lizzie Anne Designs In the Treetop
Cardstock: Bazzill Bling & SU Whisper White
Ink: SU So Saffron & Always Artichoke
Tools & Embellishments: Cuttlebug D'Vine Swirl, Marvy Giga Scallop Rectangle & Adornit Swirly Ribbon
I had a lot of fun making this card. I decided I would dust off my cuttlebug and actually use it hahaha! I have only 2 emboss folders, this swirly one and then a snowflake one! I really must invest in a few more ;) The Ribbon takes center stage here, I absolutely LOVE this ribbon, Creative Impressions have a few different colours too. I'm off to get my taxes sent off (finally!) it's at times like this that I wish we lived in England and to top that it's SNOWING!! Quite heavily too!

Spellbinders Nestabilities!!!

I am SOOOOOO excited, a bunch of my Nestabilities came so they are now in my store :) This picture shows what the dies can do - as well as die cutting you can emboss with them and stencil with them too!!! I still have a few of them on back order - all the new long rectangles and the new tags but I do have some of the classics! Now I need to figure out how to use them with my cuttlebug - hmmm, this is going to be fun! I will post another card later today...I have to do a few household chores first and then my mind will be free to be creative. Right now all I can think about is all the ironing I have to do!!!

I GOT AN AWARD!!!!!

It's my very first one and it was given by the FABULOUS Dawn at Buggin' around she so nice and her creations are gorgeous!
It's the Arte Y Pico award! I am completely thrilled! Apparently the "Arte Y Pico" (Art & More) is given to bloggers who share their art and creativity making their contribution to the blogger world. My turn to pass it on :) I choose Carol at Crazy for Crafting and I have just realized it's her Birthday today so Happy Birthday to you :D, I also pick Dawny P at Pink Piggy , Dawn at All Pink Girl , I would also like to give it to Tricia at Letters from Lizzie (she is a very busy lady) at lastly I would like to send it back to Dawn at Buggin' around (linky above)...she inspires me too :D (It didn't say I couldn't do that in the rules ;) ) I've just realized how many Dawn's inspire me!!!
Here are the rules:

1) You have to pick 5 blogs that you consider deserve this award for their creativity, design, interesting material, and also contributes to the blogging community, no matter what language.

2) Each award has to have the name of the author and also a link to his or her blog to be visited by everyone.

3) Each award winner has to show the award and put the name and link to the blog that has given her or him the award itself.

4) Award-winner and the one who has given the prize have to show the link of "Arte y Pico" blog , so everyone will know the origin of this award.

5) To show these rules.

Updated Kitchen! (Phase one)

We have been SO busy this weekend. We had new Quartz countertops fitted on Friday (Yay no more grubby tile grout to scrub with a toothbrush!) and so Saturday I spent 12+ hours painting the kitchen, hallway and nook. 12 hours!!! There was a LOT of edging! John (my clever husband) was the Gas Man...a plumber...and a tiler!!! among other professions! A very productive day. The next step will be refacing the cabinets. We found a fabulous direct buy website which only costs a fraction of the price that you would buy it from Lowes or Home depot for the exact same product :D Now I have chairs to fit together...I promise I will make a card today and post it by this evening. Right now I need to help at my daughters school...if I don't mark the Math homework then nobody will!!!! Hahahaha!

Busy SHOPPING!

Stamps: Lizzie Anne Designs High Hellos
Cardstock: SU Eggplant Envy (yes it's the old stuff!), Bazzill Bling & Gypsy by Basic Grey
Ink/Markers: SU Markers & Brilliance Graphite Black ink
Embellishments: Diamond Stickles & butterfly punch
So I actually made this card on Monday but for the rest of Monday I Spring Cleaned the downstairs of my house - SO - to congratulate myself I have been shopping since :) Tuesday I bought myself a beautiful springy dress (Spring WILL arrive soon!) and also found the PERFECT pair of capris, it's so hard to find the perfect pair...now I wish I had bought two!!! Anyway today my very good friend (she's like a sister to me) Tanya invited me to go to Costco with her. So 2 days of shopping! My kind of life! I still have SUCH a big to-do list, it's so long it's off putting! I'm taking babysteps...it's the one great thing I learned from FLYlady. Oh and the 10 minute dash is a LIFESAVER! My kids love it when I set the timer and tell them we only have 10 minutes to tidy their playroon and bedroon AND it actually works and instead of them dawdling it motivates them to speed up. More time for playing :D It's a WIN WIN.

I AM LOVING THIS RIBBON! Okay calm down and breathe...1...2...3...I'm okay now! This is for the Lizzie Anne Design challenge this week. Ribbon heaven!

I am on cloud 9 right now...I am drowning in BEAUTIFUL ribbons! I bought far too many from CHA (I just couldn't stop myself!) and now I am creating samplers to sell in my eBay store :) This is the first one that I have put together. It is ribbon by Alexx Kesh & Co. Daisy ribbon, Herringbone ribbon and poco-dot Satin ribbon stored on a hangable ribbon card. All are SO beautiful!!! I will be adding a ribbon section to my store so you can easily find all these luscious goodies.
