Lizzie Anne Design Challenge

This was a VERY hard challenge, the only rule was NO LAYERING! Hmmm, very hard. I made a few cards before I settled on this one...not brilliant but hey, I tried :D Now back to my girls, I promised them tea and biscuits today as a treat.

Where are the days going??

The days are FLYING by! I have been elbow deep in making cookies for a cookie exchange at my daughter's school and also making sure all of the Christmas prezzies are wrapped! As my family are so far away they ask me to buy the girls things and so I get to wrap quite a lot of presents! It is good though as I get to decide what toys come into my house, no chance of an Aunty buying a drum set!!! She chose to make coconut macaroons as she LOVES coconut and she made mince pies last year so she had to chose something different this year (she's in a multi age classroom). Hope you are all having a lovely Holiday season :D

Simple Snowmen Card

Simplicity! I don't normally achieve such a thing!!! This is hard for me but I like it :) This is using patterned paper from the Figgy Pudding 6x6 stack and of course the cute little snowmen by Lizzie Anne Designs. I also used Cuttlebug Snowflakes emboss folder and also the Giga Scalloped Rectangle punch. A lot to this simple card!!!!

Dear Old Santa

STAMPS: Lizzie Anne Design's Santa & Holiday Cheer
CARDSTOCK: Bazzill Bling & Basic Grey Figgy Pudding
INKS: SU Basic Black pad & Real red marker & Brilliance white
OTHER: 1/4" Terrifically Tacky Tape & silver glitter from MM's Cityscape

Talking of Santa, I took my 2 little girls to go and see him last night. They got all dressed up and put their letter to Santa in an envelope each. Santa had time for a jolly old chat (about 10 minutes!). The girls were able to give him their letter and he opened them and read them both while they were still sitting on his knee!!! It was fabulous, Santa was lovely. I told him that when he comes to our house Christmas Eve night to expect a mince pie and some wine ;) This is the British tradition. He said he was looking forward to it :D

When Santa got stuck up the Chimney!!

I love this stamp set by My Favorite Things. It's called Home for the Holidays. I have to say I bought it purely fir the Santa legs coming out of the fireplace, very cute idea. I used Lizzie Anne Design's Snow flurry for the background and the Ho Ho Ho is from their Holiday Cheer set, I have used this stamp SO much this year! The sparkles are Making Memories Cityscape I added the silver sparkles by using 1" Terrifically Tacky tape. The cardstock is from my scraps draw...trying to use it all up on Christmas cards :D Oh and I cuttlebugged the red cardstock! It's my new toy!

Ooh La La!

I desperately need to invest in one of those light boxes!! I now have a fab Nikon D40x but have no light as I live near Seattle, famous for rain rain and more rain! This card was made using Lizzie Anne Design's Ooh La La set and So Swirly set. The cardstock is Stampin Up. The black ribbon is doodlbug and the Bling is Heidi Swapp circles. Ooh La La!

Lizzie Anne Design Challenge

I love it when they give you templates to work with, it takes a lot of the hard work out of it! I have been itching to work with this Lizzie Anne Santa stamp and I finally got my chance! The patterned card stock is Figgy Pudding by Basic Grey, the cream cardstock is Bazzill Bling from their Black tie set, the ribbon I think is May arts. I stuck red flocking onto Santa's hat and then coloured in the rim of his hat and his beard with liquid applique and heated it with my heat gun and it popped up like a fuzzy hat...perfect!

Glitter, Glitter and MORE glitter!!!

Okay so I thought I would try a new technique that I found on the Splitcoast website. I can't remember what the technique was called but it was using some of the sticker paper from your Xyron and then getting and exacto knife and making the wave effect, then peel off one at a time and pour over your favourite glitter, this way you can have several different colours of glitter. The Poodle is from Lizzie Anne Design's Ooh La La set, I used the Extra Jumbo Scalloped Oval and also the Mega Heart Punch. The cardstock is Stampin Up. The stitching on the heart was done with the Stampin Up white pen. I like to try out new techniques just wish I had more time to play!

Joy to the World Candle

I love making candles, they are such a great gift to give. This candle was bought from Costco but I think they are sold at any craft store. I used the reindeer from Lizzie Anne Designs Joy to the World set. I stamped the images using Stampin Up Classic inks. All you do is stamp your image on tissue paper (the kind you wrap gifts in) and then hold the image to the candle by placing some wax paper on top and then heat with a heat gun until the tissue paper disappears! Easy! SUCH a great gift!

I'M BACK!

Okay so I pretty much had a few weeks off to spend shopping with my sister! She went home on Saturday and since then all my family have been sick...tummy bug :( we are now over it and raring to go! Here is a simple decorated mirror to get started with. All it is is an Ikea mirror and I stamped the Merry and Bright Pointsetta all over it in red. The filled in flower was stamped off once first so that it was a little lighter. Voila, a great gift!

A HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

I have just come back from my friend Tanya's house. She has invited us to her house for the past few years and we are very thankful for that. She and Tricia and practically family and I love being around them. Of course I took my Disco ball and a CD full of lovely traditional British Party Songs! We were doing the Music Man, and Superman, YMCA, Cha Cha slide, oh my the list is endless! We had a LOT of fun! This card will be for Tanya to say thanks, not only for inviting me but my sister too. I can't believe my sister leave on Saturday! :( I will be VERY sorry to see her go but I know her husband Dan will be very pleased to see her.

My cardstock is Stampin Up, the ribbon is American Arts, the leaf is from Lizzie Anne Designs Au Naturale set, the Thanks is from their Daisy Dots set. The glitter is part of a set by Making Memories and I put it on the card with good old fashioned white glue (like the kids use at school :)

SANTA...I can explain.....

I have been having a absolute BLAST with my sister. The other day my 2 little girls had a sleepover at their friends house which gave us some time to be silly. We found these cute T-Shirts in Sears that say SANTA, I can explain! Hahaha! Then of course we saw Santa and just HAD to have a photo with him. I the UK you are not allowed to sit on Santa's knee. I think that that is SO sad and I am so very happy that my girls get the chance to sit on his knee and tell him what they would like for Christmas. I told my husband that I asked for Diamonds ;)

To the Happy Couple

My sister is SO talented! This is another one of her cards. Sorry the photo isn't very good. She has sparkles on the pink champagne and the hearts and the punch out hearts are the Giga Scallop Heart punch and the Mega Heart punch. We have been having a LOT of fun! Sorry about the lack of cards on my blog lately...so much to do so little time :D

Sisters and Chocolate!

Oh my! I have eaten SO much British Chocolate since my sister arrived! She brought the most HUMUNGUS Dairy Milk bars with her...2 of them!!! I about overdosed on Malteesers the other night! Hahaha! Anyway I thought this card was very fitting :)
Cardstock: Stampin Up's Chocolate Chip and Pink Passion, Paper accents Shimmery White.
The Stamp is by My Favorite Things and is just PERFECT!
Embellishments: Daisy Ribbon & Pink/Brown ribbon - May Arts. Eyelets are SU Bronze. I coloured the card in with my watercolour pencils and then glitzed it with Stickles Diamonds. LOVE IT!

My sister's FAB creation!

Well we are having a LOT of fun which is why I haven't posted in a few days!!! We have been shopping and baking goodies and eating British chocolate! YUM! I want to just say that the fairy stamp in the other post was from Joann's but it is by Rubber Stampede so maybe it is possible to buy it online somewhere. I didn't realise that Joann's didn't ship worldwide...sorry! So back to this FABULOUS card! This is made with Lizzie Anne Design's Ooh La La set and their Chloe Alphabet too. What a brilliant idea to use the Eiffel Tower as the A in Paris! It turned out beautifully. She then raised the tower off of the card to give it more Pizzaz and put Stickles Diamonds on it to make it sparkle. The line of bling underneath is by Heidi Swapp the cardstock is Stampin Up, I think it is Pink Passion and Pixie Pink. Didn't she do a good job? I think I may have her on my design team ;) we really enjoyed playing and should have a few more cards to show you very soon!

TODAY'S THE DAY!!!!!

MY SISTER IS COMING! She lands at around 3.30pm today!!! We are SO excited! She will obviously be exhausted when she gets here after travelling for about 17 hours! I was thinking about her a lot this morning and was inspired to make her this candle. The stamp is so beautiful I didn't want to do too much to the candle that might take your focus away from it so I added some beautiful green glitter (from the Making Memories Shimmer set) and voila...elegant and to the point!

The Stamp is from Joann's isn't it gorgeous! I attached the glitter with the 1/2" Terrifically Tacky Tape.

I love it when a plan comes together ;)

My claim to fame!

Here is the photo I promised. I haven't really done this before. It was fun to meet her, she was genuinely nice! She thought I was from Australia which I get a LOT! There is a 50/50 chance to get it right. I think I threw her off because I am British with a tinge of an American tone :)
She asked me about me which I thought was very nice of her. I'm so glad I met her! In the photo she's signing the book I got at CKC Seattle - the Best QVC scrapbook pages, fabulous book!

A Doodlebug Christmas!

Well, I had a LOT of fun making this today! This is the Doodlebug Large Chipboard house.

I started off by cutting out all the templates that they give you but I have to admit...I'm not that good with the scissors!!! SO, I decided to give myself a bit of a challenge and try to come up with a beautiful house without cutting out cardstock I really like the end result!

I started by sponging Brilliance Pearlescent Lime all over the house and then stamped the sparkle from Lizzie Anne Design's Holiday Cheer set in the same ink. I then wanted to highlight the windows without having to cut anything out so I had a 'AHA' moment! Why not use my punches! So the little windows are framed by punching with the Mega Rectangle punch and then the Giga Scalloped Rectangle punch, because they were too big I cut them down a couple of scallops and re-stuck them! The door is the Giga scalloped Rectangle punch for the green cardstock and the Mega scalloped rectangle punch for the stripy paper. The arched window took a little more thought...I punched out the top part (the arch) by using the Giga Scalloped Circle and the Mega circle punche and then the bottom part is made with the same rectangle punches. The stripy & red dotty cardstock are both from DCWV Christmas Glitter stack and the green is Bazzill Bling. The roof was decorated with Doodlebugs Christmas Sequins and then sprinkled with silver glitter from the Making Memories shimmer kit.

I have wanted to make one of these for a LONG time and I am very happy that I did. I love it!

NEW STOCK!

Okay so this is what I have been up to...I have been posting all of my new stock onto my eBay site! Took me a LONG time! Make sure you check it out. I am now selling 12x12 papers by We R Memory Makers, they are GORGEOUS! They also have several matching Tags that are TWO SIDED!!! I got them at a good price so I am passing on the love :) I also have some very cute 6x6 albums, great for Christmas gifts! I will be adding 12x12 albums very soon (as soon as I figure out how to ship them cost effectively!!), including some silk fabric ones which are beautiful. I also have a few 8x8's too. Hopefully I will get them on my eBay site within the next few days.

CKC Seattle

I have been having an absolute BLAST helping out Lizzie Anne Designs at CKC Seattle. This is why there is a lack of new cards on my blog! Too busy looking at all the cool scrapbook/card making companies. I have picked up a few little goodies that I am VERY excited about and I will be selling in my eBay store by Monday so make sure you check them out :)
I also had a photo taken with Lisa Bearnson - the founder of Creating Keepsakes! I haven't met anyone famous before (apart from Richard Cadell - the Sooty guy (Only British people will understand who that is!)) I will insert the photo as soon as I get it. It was taken on Tricia's Camera.
I am so excited about all the new products I have bought. Can't wait to get them on my eBay site!
Check back soon!!!

Embellishments/Ribbon: SU Cranberry grosgrain, Bazzill Cha Ching Brads (glass slipper) & Stampendous class a peel red geo dots.
Oh and I glued on some white glitter from Making Memories Shimmer Kit (cityscape) although you can't see it very well in this photo, it's the white part of the flower.

Cute Little Snowmen!

(This card has SO much more depth and glitz to it than this photo shows!)
I have been busy today helping my friend Tricia ('Lizzie' of Lizzie Anne Designs) get ready for CKC Seattle this coming weekend. There is quite a lot that has to be thought about and organized and I am glad I can help out in my little ways :) I honestly don't know how she (and Meridith - 'Anne' of LAD) gets is all done! Especially when Tricia has 2 young children too...she's quite marvelous you know! A true inspiration! Her little boy likes to help and feels quite important when he is telling you all about what needs to be done and where the packages need to go, he's super cute!

Well anyway when I got home I was in the mood to stamp and Oh My! I have to say these Snowmen are CUTE!!! Of course they are Lizzie Anne Design's Simply Singles Snowmen. I used Watercolour pencils to colour them in. You may notice I even gave each snowman his own little shadow! I layered with lightweight Vellum and hand tore them to make it look like snow drifts. I also used Stickles Waterfall for the snow on the ground and Stickles Icicle to highlight the snowmen and then I used White Opal Liquid Pearls for the falling snow. LOVE IT! Oh the white cardstock is Paper Accents White Pearlized Paper.

Peace, Joy, Love

I love using blues for Christmas cards. For this one I used Lizzie Anne Designs Holiday Cheer & Just Words sets. The cardstock is yet again Bazzill Bling :D and the ribbon is American Crafts. I used Brilliance Rocket Red ink and glitzed it all with Icicle Stickles.
I can't believe my sister Lynn will be here a week on Thursday! I am SO excited.

Lizzie Anne Challenge Number 1

This is my very first challenge and it was FUN! We were given a template and had to run with it and this is what I came up with. I thought it was a very good idea to give you the template, it takes a LOT of the work out of it hahaha!

Okay so this card photographed at night time with my Ott-Lite. I think it looks okay...it washed out the swirls a bit though.

Here's what I used...

Lizzie Anne Fairy Stamp, Fairy Saying Stamp, In the Background and also their Floral Frenzy set too. The cardstock is...drum roll...yes you guessed it, Bazzill Bling! I LOVE THIS CARD STOCK! The best part is it not only has a Bling side but it has a co-ordinating smooth side too! Even better still I now sell it in my eBay store :D
The of course it has been sprinkled with fairy dust of the Stickles kind :)

I think I will definitely do next weeks challenge too! Lizzie Anne Challenge here!

Ho Ho Ho!

I absolutely LOVE this card! Bling Bling Bling!!! I can see me getting carried away with Heidi Swapp's Bling!
I am SO pleased with this card!
Here's how I did it...Cardstock is Bazzill Bling Petty Cash, the dark green strip is also Bazzill Bling card stock ( I am pleased to say I will be selling these in my store in the next day or two :D ) The Stripey cardstock is from the DCWV Christmas Glitter stack. I stamped my circle stamp in Brilliance Pearlescent Ivy and punched it out with the Marvy Giga Scallop Circle punch. I sponged the edges with Brilliance Rocket Red (I love how these don't smudge!). The Santa hat is stamped in Rocket red and then embossed with red flock bought a few years ago from Stampin Up! The hohoho is stamped in Brilliance Moonlight White and embossed with white emboss powder. The Jewels are Heidi Swapp's various circles.
So there you have it...BLING BLING BLING!!!

Joy to the World

Okay I confess, I also made this card last year! I wanted to show how fabulous this Joy to the World set is though. It is one of the very first sets that Lizzie Anne Designs came out with and one of the first 2 sets I owned (the other one was Merry and Bright).

I also want to mention that I took the photo of this card outside and it looks so bright! I have been having a hard time with the way my photos have been coming out...not giving the card I made full justice for it's beauty :) but this one turned out quite nice. I'm pleased with the difference, my Ott-lite has just been retired!

The yellow card is from an old card and envelope set I had and the red is Bazzill, the Christmas tree paper is from a DCWV stack, the gold vellum was from Paper Zone! I did add Stampendous red Geo Dots, looks like I came across those last year ;) I embossed the reindeer with gold glitter and the baubles are stamped in SU Real Red and Encore Ultimate metallic gold.

It's fun to look back and see what you used to work with. I used to really try and use up all of my scraps...it's quite challenging, really gets your mind working :D

Chalky High Hellos

This was a fun card to make, I haven't used this technique in AGES! I stamped my daisy from LAD High Hellos set in VersaMark and then embossed it with white emboss powder. I then rubbed chalk over the image and voila! I would like to try this again with a more solid image too.
The cardstock is Bazzill Bling Emerald City but I used the non-shiny side, what a sumptuous colour! The Large tag (Marvy Giga punch) is the old Eggplant Envy (yes I still have some, it used to be my MOST favourite colour!) and the white is SU ultrasmooth. The chalks I used are the SU ones and the ribbon is May Arts - I only bought this ribbon yesterday and I love it! I then added some Sparkly dots by Stampendous for the tag holes. The sentiment is from LAD Sketched Sentiments set. I was tempted to add more sparkles but fought the urge :D

Paula's Wedding Day

Okay so this page took WAY longer than I thought it would! I love how it turned out though :)
This is my sister Paula on her Wedding Day only weeks ago. Unfortunately I couldn't be there so my sister Lynn sent some fabulous photos to me.
The little boy on the top left is their son Taylor...he is SO cute! You just want to pinch his little cheeks!
Here's what I used and how I did it. The pink 12x12 is from the Bazzill Bubblegum Trio pack, the gorgeous brown is from the Bazzill Bling Sugar Daddy pack (YUM!). The brown squares are slightly larger than the photo squares. they are 3.75" and the photos are 3.5". I stamped Lizzie Anne Design's So Swirly set onto the brown using Brilliance Moonlight White. I stamped the Wedding Cake from LAD's Gettin' Hitched set using basic black ink from Stampin Up and coloured it in with Pixie Pink and Real Red Stampin Write markers. The top of the cake stand is coloured in with the Sakura Gelly Roll Clear Stardust pen and the flowers on the cake are highlighted with it also. I punched the cake out using the Marvy Mega Scallop Oval. The ribbon is May arts and the photo corners are Making Memories leather. The Vellum title is a Quick Quote from the Itty Bitty Box and I lined it with stickles diamonds - I love Diamonds :D
Lastly the flowers are Bazzill Bling String of Pearls and the centers are Bazzill Bling Brads. I think that's everything, WOW no wonder it took me so long to put together!!! Hahaha!

Lynn's Birthday Card

I think it's safe to post this card onto my Blog now :) I know the UK has been having a few postal strikes but I am almost positive Lynn has received my card.

My sister Lynn (as I may have mentioned before) lives in a BEAUTIFUL cottage and so I wanted to make her a card that suited her home.
The butterfly is from Lizzie Anne Designs Au Naturale set - isn't it beautiful! I coloured it in with watercolour pencils. I then punched it out with the Marvy Giga Scallop Oval punch and threaded some May Arts ribbon through. The 'hugs' stamp is from L.A.D's beautiful L'Amour set. Of course I then added a touch of glitter on the wings of the butterfly with Ranger Diamond Stickles I absolutely LOVE these Marvy punches and so many of them fit so nicely around L.A.D. Stamps :D

I Love Fairies

As you may have noticed from my Blog Header I absolutely LOVE fairies :). This fairy is so beautiful she just HAD to be surrounded by pinks and reds!
The Fairy and the Fairy Saying are by Lizzie Anne Designs. The cardstock is Bazzill Bling, the flower behind the fairy is Bazzill Bling Blossoms which are ADORABLE! They are matt on one side and shiny on the other! The little hearts on the corner are the versatile Stampendous Class a Peel Hearts in red. All these pinks and reds are so sumptuous together!

Lynzee's Card

I am SO proud of my daughter Lynzee (8 years old), she saw me making cards and had the urge to make one herself and this is what she made :) She made this all by herself, I think she may follow in my footsteps ;)
She used Lizzie Anne Designs Au Naturale set and Happy Birthday set. She punched the circles out with Marvy punches and the glitter was stuck on with a glue pen. She added green glitter as she is green mad! If you like it PLEASE leave comments for her she would love to hear from you :)

The star and 'make a wish' are stamped with Brilliance Starlight silver and the star is embossed with SU sterling silver emboss powder. Ribbon is May arts, snowflake is SU punch and doodlebugs flower sequin with a Making memories silver shimmer brad in the center. YUM!

Me and My Big Sis

I love my sister Lynn very much but I hate the fact we are so far apart :( this photo reminds me of the good times we had at her beautiful 17th century cottage in England this summer. Her cottage is called Wisteria Cottage and it is so homely and gorgeous. This is my first layout of my trip to England, I feel like framing it so I can look at it every day. She's in Prague at the minute enjoying a birthday holiday with her husband Dan...a 6'8" British Bobby (Police man).

As you may be able to tell I LOVE marvy punches, I used 4 on this page :) I also used Lizzie Anne Designs Jolies Fleurs stamp set and some crystal effects sprinkled with...yes...glitter! Lynn is coming to see me in November and I can't wait!!! I'm practically bursting thinking about it :D

Busy Busy!

What a busy week I have had. I have been organizing my workspace which is why I haven't added anything to my blog for a few days! I moved everything out of my office, went to Ikea and bought some storage furniture and then have been in the process (for quite a while) of moving it all back in. The hard part is organizing it as it comes back in, everything needs a home. My friends will tell you that I can be quite particular about putting my scrapbook/card making things back in the right place/order. Tricia thought it was funny when she borrowed an alphabet set (before Lizzie Anne days) and when she put the letters back in the wrong order (i.e. not alphabetically) I gave her a look...hahaha! I try not to be too organized but I think it's an illness! I'm not sure if there is a cure!!! Here is my new wall of storage, I am so pleased with it. I love Ikea.

Lizzie Anne Designs POTM

I seriously had a LOT of fun making this candle and it is sat pride of place on my mantelpiece. I obviously used Lizzie Anne Designs Spooked set and it is featured as one of their many fantastic Projects of the Month. I love making candles. I was so pleased with the way it turned out.

I can't stop!!!

This set is too cute, I honestly can't stop creating with it :) I made this card as I was attempting to put the set away!!! Again this is Lizzie Anne Designs cute Spooked set. I used the glue pad for the haunted house and sprinkled on Orange glitter. The background is embossed with amazing glaze and the ribbon is May Arts. I also used the Marvy Giga scalloped oval. I have enjoyed playing with this set so much it's going to be hard to put it away (as I found today!). Now I need to talk myself into parting with these cards. I like to keep my creations, I have such a hard time letting them go. I only wish my camera could show you the cards in their true colours, these photographs don't do them much justice :?

Sparkly Spooked!

This is yet again made with the fabulous Lizzie Anne Designs Spooked set. I'm in love with it!!! I don't even send Halloween cards normally but I think I should start! The backing paper is from the glitter stack, the ribbons are Doodlebug and the sparkly brads are Making Memories. I used the Marvy Mega Circle Punch for the moon. The bats are embossed with Stamp-n Stuff's Marcasite glitter and then raised on pop dots. I'm so pleased with how it turned out.

I had a lot of fun making this card. I love Lizzie Anne Design's 'In the background' set, I can see this becoming a favourite of mine, obviously behind so swirly! The paper ribbon on this card is Doodlebug, the fringed black is perfect for this card. I sparkled the pumpkins (of course!).
I don't often make Halloween cards, it's a lot of FUN!

My Girls

These are my 2 very beautiful girls. They play together really well. This is a few years ago now. The youngest one, Chloe (6), is a definite Mini-Me and Lynzee my 8 year old is a Mini-Daddy. It's crazy how they are SO much like us!!! Lynzee is very laid back which mixes nicely with Chloe's non-stop fidgeting :) This page has been on the Lizzie Anne Designs website for a few months now, it was the first few sets that I owned, I now own a LOT more. Their stamps are very addictive!

Never Too Many Daisies!

Oh how I love Lizzie Anne Designs Blissful Blossoms set. I was tickled pink when I found the flower paper (called lipstick flower by Ki memories). What a PERFECT match! I made this card for my sisters birthday (which is today) but I'm having a hard time letting it go. The Happy Birthday stamp is from their Little Bits Happy Birthday set. YUMMY!

Oh The Daisies!!!

Okay so now I get to play with Daisies, my most favourite flower in the world. I made this card at a monthly scrapbook night that I have with a bunch of the greatest girlfriends anyone could wish for. I wasn't the only one at the table making cards either, there were 3 of us! Scrapbooking night is slowly turning into card making night tee-hee! This card was made with Lizzie Anne Designs Blissful Blossoms set. The center of the daisies are glittery green...it HAS to have glitter!

Spooked!

I am a great lover of Lizzie Anne Designs stamps as you will soon find out. I am having a lot of fun playing with their Spooked set. Of course I have a lot of fun playing with glitter too! This is my youngest daughter, Chloe, when she was 4 years old. The header is using Pupcat Alpha Bits from Lizzie Anne designs and if you look closely you may see their So Swirly set in the background. LOVE IT!
